About

Abdulwahid Ahmed

Builder, operator, truth-seeker.

I'm a third-culture kid of Somali heritage, nurtured in the dynamic urban landscape of inner-city London. My journey has since taken me to Dubai, Barcelona, and now Lisbon, which I proudly call home.

From an early age, I aspired to exceed conventional expectations. After earning an MSc from LSE, I ventured into investment banking, seeking purpose but finding it unfulfilling. My transition to entrepreneurship led me into the retail sector, where I quickly realized the need for further learning. At Wallbox, a start-up brimming with entrepreneurial spirit, I worked under a long-standing mentor who helped me uncover my strengths and weaknesses.

As a resourceful problem solver, I leverage my neurodiversity to think independently and creatively. I thrive in fast-paced environments, driven by curiosity and a passion for learning. Collaboration is essential to me, and I excel in diverse, cooperative settings. However, managing time and multitasking can be challenging due to my ADHD, though I am continually developing strategies to overcome these hurdles. I occasionally struggle with patience in slow processes and long-term projects, and I am actively working on improving my listening skills.

Here's what I'm up to now.

Building my personal website

Establishing my digital sanctuary for self-expression.

Reading 'The Pathless Path' by Paul Millerd

Helping me better understand my own internal clashes through his story.

Listening to 'A Long Time' by Mayer Hawthorne

🎤 "It's gonna to take a long time / It's gonna take it but we'll make it one day."

Getting into trail running

Exploring trails, swapping urban pavements for scenic trails.

Practising Ashtanga yoga

The perfect complement to the yang of running and desk work.
